Searsol is delighted to offer fun and interactive live online computer camps this July, delivered via Zoom. These camps are designed for younger students who want to build essential computer skills while being creative and having fun.

Children will gain confidence using tools like email, word processing, and presentation slides, while also exploring exciting, creative activities such as design, animation, and digital art. Throughout the week, students will create their own birthday cards, picture collages, comic strips, and edited images, all in a supportive and engaging environment. The camp also includes a gentle introduction to coding through fun coding games.

All sessions are led by experienced tutors with strong classroom teaching backgrounds, and places are limited to ensure each child gets individual attention.

What’s Included:

Hour 1 – Typing Skills
Build speed and accuracy using our Typewiz typing programme.

Hour 2 – Core Computer Skills

• Email: Learn how to set up and use email, send, reply, forward messages, and add attachments
• Word Processing: Create and format documents, insert tables and borders
• Presentation Slides: Design slides, add images, animate content, and customise layouts

Hour 3 – Creative & Coding Activities

• Design your own birthday cards
• Create picture collages
• Make your own comic strips
• Design avatars and characters
• Draw, edit, and enhance images
• Upload, crop, and edit photos
• Explore animation design
• Introduction to coding through games
• And much more!

Camp Requirements:

• Laptop or desktop computer (no iPads or smartphones)
• Zoom installed (no webcam required)
• Headphones recommended
• Stable broadband connection (minimum 1MB)
• Gmail account

This camp is perfect for children who want to learn, create, and build confidence with technology in a fun and supportive online setting.
